Frequently Asked Questions
Are there any side effects ?
There are no reports of severe complications in the literature with the use of botulinum toxin for facial injections. Very rarely (1 in 100) when injecting above the eyebrows a drooping effect of the eye called “ptosis” can occur. This is self limiting. The chances of complications are significantly reduced when the procedures are carried out by skilled practitioners. Other side effects described are headache, flu like symptoms and nausea.
