What happens after the injection ?
Patients may experience slight redness or swelling at the injection site which normally settles within an hour. It is advised that the patient does not lie down or rub their eyes for 4-6 hours post injection. (This reduces the chances of ptosis or drooping of the eyelid) Improvement should be visible within a couple of days but may continue up to a week. The effects of the botox last between 3-6 months.
